The Ugly Walsall website is now closed
After four years of highlighting areas of Walsall that were in dire need of attention, I feel that the website can do no more.
At my request I had a meeting with Tom Ansell, Leader of Walsall Council last year with the hope of combining resources to try and present Walsall in a better light. The meeting went well with great promises of things to come. I have not heard from them since.
Most, if not all, of the editors
expectations have come to fruition. The press, TV and radio coverage
of this unique site ensured Ugly Walsall remained in the public eye.
It is thanks to the popularity of
this site that I have attained the position of Senior Story Editor
for a local newspaper in Southern Spain, so will therefore be unable
to closely monitor the events in Walsall. I will however (as other
escapees have done) keep an electronic eye on Walsall from far
sunnier climes.
